Viktor Hovland will be looking to redeem himself by winning the
2024 Arnold Palmer Invitational when he tees off in Bay Hill.
What to know about Hovland
The Norwegian golfer won the 2018 US Amateur and reached number one in the World Amateur Golf Ranking in 2019 before turning professional in the same year.
Hovland is the reigning FedExCup champion and he has won 10 professional tournaments including two World Wide Technology Championships.

The 2023 PGA Championship runner-up has been out of action since he took part in the 2024 Genesis Invitational where he finished 19th.
Hovland is placed fourth on the Official World Golf Rankings and his best OWGR ranking is third place.
Why Hovland is among the favourites
The former Oklahoma State University student came close to winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational in 2022 as he finished joint-second behind champion Scottie Scheffler.
Hovland, who is the 2023 PGA Tour FedEx Cup winner, will now be looking to go one step further and clinch the Arnold Palmer Invitational trophy this weekend.

“I don’t think their product is that great. I’m not such a fan of, for example, playing without a cut,” Hovland said recently as he pledged his commitment to the PGA Tour.
“You need the competition with 150 players and a cut. If you don’t play well enough, you’re out. There is something about it that makes your game a little sharper.
“If I had gone to LIV, I don’t think I would have become a better golfer. And then it is, in a way, end of discussion.”
